A Purpose Built Facility for Assessment

Our state of the art centre has been leading the way in purpose built design, since completion in 2013.

The NTC is a secure, testing facility, focusing on providing a fair and equitable examination experience for medical professionals from around the globe.

We deliver examinations year round, for the Australian Medical Council (AMC), as well as specialist medical colleges, universities and standards bodies.

Sign-In Area - Candidates

Designed to streamline the sign-in and identification process for candidates.

Lounge Area - Candidates

A calm and quiet area for candidates to settle into 'exam mode'. The Candidate Lounge is free from distraction, has secure storage for personal belongings, a quiet space, a Public Address (PA) system, observation facilities and customisable digital signage.

Briefing Room - Candidates

A specially designed room to transition candidates from sign-in to examination. Candidates are provided with a briefing on what to expect throughout their examination, which can be delivered in person and/or by video.

Examination Corridor - Candidates

The Examination Corridor is quarantined for use by candidates only. The corridor is equipped with high quality monitors at each examination station, suitable for display of examination questions and images. The Public Address (PA) system is used to assist candidates with progression through each stage of the exam.

Examination Suites

The NTC has 20 clinical consulting rooms, built to the Australian standard for clinical practice. Each examination suite is fitted with microphones, speakers, cameras and digital displays. Audio Visual capabilities enable real-time monitoring from outside the exam suite. Equipment, furniture and supplies are adapted to meet different examination requirements.

Clinical Supplies and Simulation

The NTC is stocked with items which are used to replicate clinical settings, including a selection of training models. We partner with local providers of high-fidelity, simulation equipment, resources and technical support.

Observation Room

Known as the ‘heart of the exam/facility’, the Observation Room is the operational hub of any examination. All logistical planning is put into action through the ability to program exam timings, control the flow of people and talk directly with exam personnel - without leaving the room and with the touch of a button.

Sign-In Area - Examiner and Simulated Patient

Designed to provide seamless sign-in and entry for all examination personnel. All visitors are supplied with access passes and information on how the facility works.

Lounge Area - Examiner and Simulated Patient

An onsite, dedicated and secure space for key examination personnel, separate to the exam environment. The lounge is utilised daily for exam briefings, training, meetings and for refreshments and regeneration between examining. It is equipped with audio-visual facilities to support the effective delivery of important exam related information.

Client Space

The NTC offers three separate, light-filled rooms for client use, all within the facility.
